Mount Everest


         Mount Everest in the Himalayas, is the tallest mountain on the earth. it is like a huge ice-cream cone turned upside down. The top of the Mount Everest is covered in snow and there are no plants or animals. Edmund Hillary Everest and Tenzing Norgay were the first people to climb Mount Everest.


      A trip to Mount Everest takes many days. The local people known as Sherpa help climbers to climb the mountain. There is very less oxygen on the mountain, which  makes it difficult for people to breath. This makes climbing Mount Everest a big challenge.
